In a national press advertisement, Tesco featured a selection of fresh food products displaying their in-store prices, and those of the same or equivalent products at Asda. Tesco was hitting back at Asda’s price guarantee campaign which guarantees the price of some staple foods.Upholding the complaint, the ASA ruled: “The ASA welcomed Tesco’s acknowledgement of the error, their assurance that they would take action to ensure a similar error did not occur again and their confirmation that the ad would not run again.” Wednesday 13 April 2011 8:05 pmlast_img
